Unique 3D foldable/collapsible structure having minimal weight and minimal dimensions.

Design description
Unique 3D foldable/collapsible structure having minimal weight and minimal dimensions while folded provides maximum sitting comfort while unfolded. Stretched fabric seat holds and stabilizes the whole construction in unfolded position.
Its concept was inspired by the world of sailing-ships and technical solutions in sailing of the past and present.
Materials & technologies: Aluminum Extrusion, Aluminum Casting, Fabric.
This project won the "100% Folding Chairs" competition organized by DESIGNBOOM.COM and 100% DESIGN Gallery.
Year of design: 2003
